One side allows a complete look inside, while the other retains the natural texture, shaped over millions of years. Moldavite is a powerful tektite(meteorite glass) created 14 million years ago, when a meteor crashed into Southern Germany, fusing itself with the surrounding sand and raining molten glass down on the surrounding area. It is said to have been one of the major decorative pieces on the Holy Grail, and to possess immense healing powers.
